Club Hipico de Antofagasta, Chile
Club Hipico de Antofagasta was a thoroughbred racecourse in the Antofagasta region of Chile. Its location is extremely remote, with the next racecourse more than 800km away. It was a left-handed, nine furlong dirt oval.
Club Hipico de Antofagasta was founded in 1908 but featured no major events. On 31 January 2013, after 104 years of racing, Pedro Troncoso Martinic president of CHA announced the cessation of activities on the course.
The final full meeting took place at the course on 24 January 2013 although a further two-race card was also held on 20th February 2013, without betting or television coverage.
