Seems to be another night of on pace horses keeping up the gallop across both meetings – Pretty much know after the first few hundred yards if yours is in the race or not, Had a couple of nice ones tonight in Victory spirit (How did that go off at 16s was 6s on track after a late plunge) and Queen Kate so May well retire Fair the evening ahead.
Have to admit I was not on the ball at all. I did manage to get Kitten Desert at 16s in the opener but was distracted by footie later. I had tried to back both Victory Spirit at 33/1 and Courageous Day (40/1) early odds and been declined. Had intended to pick them up live and totally forgot both. Worked out well enough overall thanks to the first but still. Glad to see you had a decent night.
The racing is far more interesting than watching England when it comes to friendlies ! Not sure what Southgate is doing at the mo as he seems petrified of giving the likes of Grealish and Saka a proper go, Strange. Yeah managed to get VS at 25s a couple of times but They never really cut it so you could still get a top price come the off. maybe they were distracted by the game too ;) Think CD beat one of mine!! Like the card tonight ? Shame they declined your bets on them two but I bet they are glad they did !!
I’m not at all confident tonight but hopeful that we might land one of the decent ones. Its a case of throwing enough mud to see what sticks, bearing in mind I have more beyond what is here such as Unga Red in Soolaimon’s race.
I often find I get declined at 28s, 33s and 40s though not always (perhaps varies by race type?) and oddly seems to be ok at 50s. Also seems to be ok once they switch to live market and of course that also brings into play the alternative options, which is what should have happened last night.
I think it was Ritmo in CD’s race which was my first choice and a sound pick at 20s. Started around 2nd/3rd fav. Managed to get on that one just fine which was more than a little frustrating.
